Allouette
Allouette was in her previous life the stable for the old farmhouse of La Rafoulais circa 1740, but after conversion she is a large 1, bedroom gite sleeping 4, persons + cot, the large oak beamed attic style bedroom offers views of surrounding countryside, (Please note steep stairs in this property) it has a shower room/toilet. An open-plan oak beamed kitchen / salon area that’s fully equipped, the salon has English TV/video, DVD, hi-fi and a large selection of films & books to choose from. There are large patio doors overlooking the beautiful Breton rolling fields and passing cows amble by for milking twice a day. Allouette offers secure off road parking plus private gardens with garden furniture and picnic table to relax in and watch the world go by.
If you rent both properties as a combination as our other cottage is within 20 yards! It offers great reductions as well as having the privacy you want but close enough to friends or family.
There’s a large heated shared family plunge pool available within our grounds. On Sunday evenings its wine tasting evening in the grounds of La Rafoulais so after a hard day at the beach what better way to unwind once the children are tucked up in bed exhausted from great day out.
Duvets and pillows are provided as standard, while quality fresh linen sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers (as required) can be hired at an additional charge, (see terms & conditions) please note that towels are not provided.
In the gite you will find local information and forthcoming events, also a large welcome pack provided for your arrival. Bike hire, tennis & badminton rackets are available for hire from your hosts. Tennis courts are in our local village of Cogles, we feel that Allouette offers good value for money all year round.

On your arrival day we offer a simple BBQ or traditional Boeuf bourguigon after your journey here so if stressed out and tired why not take advantage just to relax. Price per adult is 7 euros and 4 euros for Children under 16. *** Drinks available on request ***
All communications are in English. We’re unable to accept credit card payments, please do not post cash. You are also advised to take out personal holiday insurance cover and get an EHIC form which will entitle you to some medical treatment as an EU citizen, this can be obtained from most post offices in the United Kingdom, and persons outside of the European Union are advised to check with their country of origin.
