La Cerise
The Granite built cottage “La Cerise” (meaning cherry) circa 1744 has charming walled gardens landscaped into the gentle rolling hills of Brittany, Your own private covered or open terraces with relaxing garden furniture to settle into. La Cerise has beautiful exposed oak beams throughout. There are 2, bedrooms and the cottage sleeps 6 + cot, (stair gate fitted as standard) highchairs available, The main bedroom has a comfy double bed, wardrobe / dressing space, the 2nd bedroom has 2, full sized single beds and wardrobe / dressing space, both bedrooms overlook the surrounding countryside. The bathroom has a full sized bath / shower plus W.C.
Downstairs the large salon has a massive inglenook fireplace with a traditional log burner for cosy nights in; large patio doors overlook the grounds & countryside.
A large comfy sofa bed that sleeps 2, situated in the salon, La Cerise has a TV, English DVD player, video, hifi, and a huge selection of films to choose from, into the light & airy spacious kitchen and utility room you will find a fully fitted kitchen including a dishwasher (gives mum a rest) washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, and all kitchen utensils and crockery. You will find the cottage is double glazed (where possible) to ensure cool rooms in summer and warm in the winter, smoke detectors are in place to ensure your safety at all times.
La Cerise was before extensive renovations a milking parlour and hayloft for the working farm of “La Rafoulais”. The original features can still be seen set into the walls, the farm no longer exists but many features still show. We now have a spacious comfortable traditional Breton holiday cottage, (Long / short lets available also.
A large heated plunge pool and sun deck is available to both properties or exclusive to your party if booked as a combination.
Duvets and pillows are provided as standard while quality fresh linen sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers (as required) can be hired at an additional charge. Please note that tea towels are provided as standard but hand & beach towels are not (terms & conditions apply).
In your cottage you will find information on the local area and forthcoming events, a good rule of thumb is check the guests’ comments book. A large welcome pack is provided for your arrival.

Arrival day
If after your journey to us you’re feeling tired and maybe a little stressed we are able to offer you either a simple BBQ or our traditional Boeuf Bourguignon with fresh local bread and local creamy butter.

Heating, hot water and gas for cooking are all included in the rental price. Additional charges are made for wood for log burner and bedding required.
Similar bedding must be used in place of ours. (Full terms & conditions apply) The prices quoted for La Cerise is per week or minimum of 2 nights, our normal booking period is Saturday to Saturday during (July and August) other dates flexible during the year.
La Rafoulais is open all year for long or short lets.
